Citizenship and Social Development
Launched in the 2021-22 school year, the curriculum of Citizenship and Social Development places emphasis on helping senior secondary students understand the circumstances of Hong Kong, the country, and the contemporary world, as well as their pluralistic and interdependent nature. Through the learning process, students can acquire a comprehensive knowledge base, transforming into informed and responsible citizens with both a sense of national identity and a global perspective. By studying and exploring various topics from multiple perspectives—such as the economy, science, technology, environment, sustainable development, and public health—students can gain an understanding of contemporary issues that may affect their daily lives at personal, community, national, and global levels.
