As a winning team in the Hong Kong Student Science Project Competition 2021, our students were nominated by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups to join the Korea Science and Engineering Fair 2021. Together with other teams from Hong Kong, our students competed with 94 international teams from 11 countries and regions for the grand prizes.

 

We are very proud to announce that our students, 3A Orlando, 3A Oscar and 4A Max, have won the Bronze Award in the Environmental Science Category in this international competition. Their invention – the new biodegradable filter for face mask – has earned recognition from the professional judges. From the brainstorming stage to the experimental stage, our students had gone through many trials and errors, and demonstrated perseverance and the spirit of never giving up. Their efforts in the past months had paid off, and were validated by the excellent result in the competition. It is hoped the experience has broaden their horizons, and helped them gain valuable lessons.

 

Our school has always been pouring resources in many fields, and among them the foremost is STEM education. By creating an environment conducive to learning, we stimulate students to think big and achieve more in many different aspects of studies in and outside school. It is hoped that this experience can inspire all of our students – to make them believe in themselves, that they can and they will succeed.

 

作為 2021 年香港學生科學項目比賽的優勝隊伍，世界龍岡學校劉皇發中學的學生獲香港青年協會提名參加 2021年韓國科學及工程大賽。他們與其他來自香港的隊伍和94支來自11個國家及地區的隊伍爭奪獎項。

 

我校的三位學生（3A 陳穎圖、3A 馮經皓、4A 梁諾恒）所發明的「新型可生物分解口罩濾芯」贏得了專業評委的認可，在是次國際比賽中勇奪環境科學組別銅獎。從腦震盪到實驗階段，他們經歷許多試驗與失敗，展現堅毅、永不放棄的精神，終於在比賽取得了驕人的成績，期望學生能於是次經歷獲得寶貴的經驗，擴闊視野。

 

我校一直在不同範疇投放大量資源促進學與教，並以STEM教育為首。學校為學生提供良好的學習環境，激發學生建立遠大的志向，並在校內眾多不同的研究領域中取得成就。期望是次的國際科學獎項能夠激勵我校所有學生——讓學生相信自己的潛力，並會取得成功。
